Local database professional Mike Tolley has designed to our specification, a computer database program for cataloguing our collection of photos, documents, films, videos etc. The database program will enable us to
- locate records within in our many filing cabinets with a certain degree of accuracy
- run keyword searches to extract related data records that we may, for example, select for a display theme
Mike and his wife Jan have since moved to England, but Mike, God bless 'im, has indicated a willingness to respond to any problems that we may encounter with the database, even to the extent of perhaps emailing program updates to us down-under.
2010 is going to be a challenging and interesting year for us.
